  • That wooden tool with the metal sawlike part and hammer/point end may be an ice tool. The hammer/point is only riveted on, so it wasn't used as a normal hammer, but looks hammered on. Likely the flat end was hit with a real hammer while the point did the real work. My guess is it's a tool for breaking up large blocks of ice (remember, "ice box" used to actually mean a box with ice in it to keep stuff cool). The saw-like part could score the block, then hammering in the point every few inches along the score would cause the block to break there.
